MaScannerPrivacy policy
MaScanner processes scans on your device. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, or cloud sync.
Information handled by the app
MaScanner uses your camera to recognize QR codes and barcodes. If you select photos, the selected images are used to detect codes. Camera images, selected photos, and scan contents are not uploaded to a MaScanner server.
Scan contents, scan details, favorites, and preferences are stored locally on your device so you can review past results and keep your settings. MaScanner does not operate a remote database of your scans.
Permissions
Camera access is used for live scanning. Photo access or the system photo picker is used when you choose images to scan. You can manage available permissions in iPhone Settings. Denying camera permission prevents live camera scanning.
Sharing and external services
When you choose to open a scanned website or launch another app, that destination handles information according to its own privacy practices. When you copy or share a result, the content is passed to your clipboard or the destination you select. MaScanner does not sell scan data or use it for advertising or tracking.
Retention and deletion
Saved scans remain on your device until you delete them. You can delete individual scans or open History and choose Clear, then Clear All, to remove all saved scans and favorites. MaScanner has no server-side scan records to delete. Device backups, if enabled, are controlled by your device and backup-provider settings.
Support requests
If you contact support, the information you choose to send is used to answer your request and troubleshoot the issue. Avoid including sensitive scan contents. Support correspondence is separate from the app’s local scan history. You may request deletion of your support correspondence by contacting support.
This website
This website does not embed advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking scripts. Its hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and secure the website.
